About Me

I'm Mike Lawson, founder of SEOh! So Good, a digital marketing agency in Nantwich, Cheshire.

I have spent over 25 years in web development and digital marketing. I started out building websites, co-founded a web design agency, and learned quickly that a brilliant site means nothing if nobody can find it. That pulled me into SEO and I have been hands-on with it ever since.

Search has changed. Google now answers a lot of questions itself, and so do ChatGPT and the rest. AI is not a bolt-on for me. I build with it every day, it is as much of my work as search is, and it is where the interesting problems are right now.

Working With AI

I build with AI every day. Not prompts in a chat window, but working systems. AI agents that read live data, make decisions against clear rules, and hand work back to a person at the right moment. I work mainly with Claude and the Anthropic API, and I have a good feel for where the models are genuinely useful and where they are not.

  Getting your business cited by Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT, not just ranked beneath them. I track where AI answers appear for your searches, who they cite, and what it takes to be the source they trust. At the time of writing, 38 of my clients' pages are cited in Google AI Overviews.

• AI for your business

  If you want AI doing real work in your business rather than writing your emails, I can help. That might be an agent that handles enquiries and bookings, a system that watches your data and flags what matters, or an honest hour on what is worth doing at all. I speak from things I have built, not a slide deck.
